William Hook

Associate Dean of Libraries
Director, Divinity Library Professor of the Practice of Theological Librarianship

Bill Hook is the Director of the Divinity Library and Professor of the Practice of Theological Librarianship. He is Associate Dean of Libraries for the Jean and Alexander Heard Library. In that capacity he is responsible for the operations of six of the eight campus libraries.  He received his B.S. in Mathematics from Florida Institute of Technology. He attended Candler School of Theology (Emory University) where he received the M.Div. degree, and received his Ph.D degree in Religious Ethics from Vanderbilt University. He has been the Director of the Divinity Library since 1987, Associate Dean of Libraries since 2011.
