Congratulations to Michael Eric Dyson on his promotion to University Distinguished Professor of African American and Diaspora Studies in the Vanderbilt University College of Arts and Science and University Distinguished Professor of Ethics and Society in the Vanderbilt Divinity School. He is the Centennial Chair in African American and Diaspora Studies. Dyson is a globally renowned scholar of race, religion, and contemporary culture, with more than 20 published books. He is a prominent commentator across several national media outlets and is the recipient of multiple awards, including two NAACP Image Awards.
Congratulations to Peter Lake on his promotion to University Distinguished Professor of History at Vanderbilt University College of Arts and Science and University Distinguished Professor of the History of Christianity at Vanderbilt Divinity School. He is the Martha Rivers Ingram Chair of History. Lake has published eight books and co-edited six collections of essays on post-Reformation English history. He is a member of the prestigious British Academy for the humanities and social sciences.
