Support the Divinity School

Types of Gifts

When you make a gift to the Divinity School, you have flexibility in choosing how to make your gift and in determining how the funds will be used.

  • Unrestricted gifts to the Divinity School give the dean flexibility in allocating funds to meet the greatest need - student scholarships. A gift designated as unrestricted is used to fund theological education at Vanderbilt by providing financial aid for our students.
  • Restricted gifts to the Divinity School are gifts that are directed/ designated to a specific program, scholarship fund, or a department chair. A designated gift allows the donor to enjoy the satisfaction of supporting a program that is personally meaningful to them and their relationship with the Divinity School.
