Upon the recommendation of the faculty, the Board of Trustees of Chicago Theological Seminary has voted to award Stacey Floyd-Thomas the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters, their highest honor. This prestigious recognition is reserved for those who exemplify CTS’s core value of transformative leadership toward justice and mercy in religious communities and society at large. We honor Floyd-Thomas' contributions as an educator, civic leader, and social activist in fostering justice and mercy, making the world a better place for all of God’s creation. 

Dr. Yara González-Justiniano was recently awarded the T.A. Abbott Award for Faculty Excellence from the Higher Education and Leadership Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
