- Friday, April 12, Dean Pierce will be inducted into the Martin Luther King Jr. Collegium of Scholars at Morehouse College. The collegium is part of Morehouse’s College of Ministers and Laity that is named for Dr. King, who graduated from the school in 1948 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Scholars are selected at various career stages and across a wide spectrum of influence, having “demonstrated and are evolving toward great achievement in their chosen vocation, a profound commitment to their community and society, the planet and the cosmos and are living their lives according to a high standard of cosmopolitan ethical options.”
