Ordination Requirements
The Commission on Ministry oversees the entire discernment process, making recommendations to the Bishop at various stages. No one can proceed from one stage to the next without the Bishop’s consent.
Courses
The Divinity Schools regularly offers a course that examines the history, theology and practices of worship in the Episcopal/Anglican tradition, with the goal of preparing students for ministry (broadly defined) in the Episcopal Church.

Vanderbilt and Sewanee Partnership
In a collaborative effort to expand the resources available to our students, Vanderbilt Divinity School has partnered with The School of Theology at Sewanee: The University of the South. Students are eligible to take courses at both Vanderbilt and Sewanee at the tuition rate of their home institution, with all credit applying toward their degree program of enrollment.
