Harper Haynes
Senior Director of Strategic Enrollment Management
Harper Barton Haynes joins the Vanderbilt Divinity School as Senior Director of Strategic Enrollment Management in July 2024. Harper brings almost 20 years of strategic enrollment experience in domestic and international student recruitment and pipeline development, visitor experience strategy and management, and strategic admissions modeling and evaluation. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Learning Organizations and Strategic Change from Lipscomb University, a Masters of Education in Organizational Leadership from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
Harper has deep ties to the Vanderbilt University community having served in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions from 2008 – 2023, most recently occupying the role of Deputy Director of Undergraduate Admissions. She has held professional memberships in the Southern Association of College Admissions Counselors (SACAC), National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), International Association of College Admissions Counselors (IACAC) and Collegiate Information and Visitor Services Association (CIVSA).
She returns to Vanderbilt having served as Director of College Content from 2023 – 2024 for an education technology firm aimed at democratizing access to information related to college planning, college success, college affordability, financial literacy, and careers skills to level the playing field for American high school and college students. Harper is deeply committed to facilitating students on their educational journey through passion projects with organizations such as the Public Education Foundation and Homework Hotline. A native South Carolinian and member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Harper resides in Nashville with her dog, Stone.
